At 1:06 p.m. local time on Sunday (30), the reinaugural Qantas flight to Santiago de Chile departed Sydney airport. The company resumes operations to the Chilean capital after a 33-month hiatus as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Santiago de Chile will once again be Qantas’ first and only destination in Latin America. According to Cirium, the carrier will offer four weekly services between the two cities with 216-seat Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
