Sunwing Airlines to connect Orlando/Melbourne to Canada

Sunwing Airlines as of December 10 will offer nonstop service to Orlando/Melbourne (MLB) from three Canadian cities as reported by Florida Today. The company will offer three destinations in the state of Florida for the 2022/2023 winter season.

The leisure airline will be the second carrier to provide international operations at MLB, thus strengthening air connectivity at metro Orlando’s third-largest airport.

“If you think about how tight everything has been over the last few years in leisure travel, with things opening up there’s a lot of pent-up demand. I think the demand from Canada is going to be incredible,” said Greg Donovan, executive director of Melbourne Orlando International Airport.

“I think the timing of this is fantastic. We’re very excited to be working with Sunwing. They have a great reputation,” Donovan added.
