Air France will fly to Rio de Janeiro (GIG) with Boeing 777-300ERs with new cabins starting March 26, 2023, the first destination in Latin America where it will deploy them.
These Boeing 777-300ERs will have a configuration of forty-eight seats in Business Class, forty-eight in Premium Economy and 273 in Economy Class.
The French flag carrier will offer 5,166 seats per week between Paris – Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Galeão International Airport (GIG), representing a 3.15% decrease in capacity.
Air France will have 12 aircraft in its Boeing 777-300ER fleet with this new configuration that includes the new Business Class products, the same Premium Economy seat type as the Airbus A350s and a revamped Economy Class cabin.

Route details
- Starting March 26, Boeing 777-300ERs with new cabins will operate six times a week.
- From April 10, service will be increased to daily with refurbished cabin aircraft.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, Air France’s 369-capacity Boeing 777-300ERs in April 2023 will be operating to Bangalore (BLR), Dakar (DSS), Rio de Janeiro (GIG), Hong Kong (HKG), Tokyo Haneda (HND), Seoul – Incheon (ICN), New York (JFK), Tokyo Narita (NRT) and Singapore (SIN).
