The National Union of Aeronauts (SNA), which represents flight crews in Brazil (pilots and cabin crew), reported on Sunday, 25 December, that its associates have approved the third proposal of the TST (Superior Labour Court) for the renewal of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for regular aviation.
As reported by our partner media in Brazil, Aeroin, the voting took place online, starting on 24 December, at 6am, and closed this Sunday, 25 December, at 12 midnight.
There were 70.11% in favour of the proposal and 28.80% against, plus 1.09% abstentions. In total, 5,834 crew members took part.
The TST proposal foresees the readjustment by the inflation of the last 12 months, plus a 1% real gain, i.e. 6.97% on the fixed and variable part of the salary; and food vouchers.
In addition, it provides for the full renewal of the other social clauses, the definition of timetables for days off and the possibility of starting holidays on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
With the approval of the proposal, the CBA will be renewed and the union declares the end of the strike.
The union has been on strike since 19 December for two hours, from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m., at the airports of Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Campinas, Porto Alegre, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte and Fortaleza.
