Belgium: Brussels ramps up flights from China and Japan

With the easing of sanitary restrictions, Brussels – Zaventem Airport (BRU) will be more connected to the Asia – Pacific region, with the consolidation of air operations to China and the return of flights to Japan.

Japan

As of March 11, All Nippon Airways resumes operations to Belgium after more than three years, initially the airline will offer two weekly flights and as of March 26 the service increases to daily flights. This will be the first European route that the company restarts from Narita Airport (NRT).

  • Tokyo/Narita – Brussels Flight NH 231 NRT 10:50 – BRU 15:55
  • Brussels – Tokyo/Narita Flight NH 232 BRU 21:10 – NRT 15:40+1

The service will be operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with a capacity of 215 passengers in three classes (48 Business Class/21 Premium Economy/146 Economy). In addition to operations to the Belgian capital, All Nippon Airways also offers flights to Europe from Tokyo – Haneda (HND) to London – Heathrow (LHR), Paris (CDG) and Frankfurt (FRA).

China

Following the reopening of Mainland China’s borders, Hainan Airlines modifies its schedule to Brussels (BRU), eliminating technical quarantine stops in Chongqing (CKG) and Xi’an (XIY) and will offer non-stop flights from Beijing – Capital (PEK).

  • Beijing/Capital – Brussels Flight HU 491 PEK 03:20 – BRU 07:00 Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
  • Brussels – Beijing/Capital Flight HU 492 BRU 12:20 – PEK 05:20+1 Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

The route will be operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with 290 seats in two classes (30 Business Class/260 Economy).
