Air France, after the announcement of the Chinese authorities on the relaxation of travel, the company is gradually increasing its operations to Hong Kong and Mainland China. By the 2023 summer season: the airline will have recovered 48.3% of its pre-pandemic seat capacity on offer.
Currently, the French airline offers services from Paris – Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to Beijing – Capital (PEK) with one weekly frequency; services to Shanghai – Pudong (PVG) increases from 2 to 3 weekly flights from February 3 increases; and on January 9 resumed operations to Hong Kong (HKG) with three weekly operations. For the time being, the company maintains the route to Wuhan (WUH) suspended.
Flight schedule
All flights to Mainland China and Hong Kong will increase operations from July 1, 2023.
Beijing – Beijing Capital (PEK)
- Paris – Beijing Flight AF 128 CDG 16:10 – PEK 09:25+1 daily flights.
- Beijing – Paris Flight AF 125 PEK 12:25 – CDG 19:20 daily flights.
Shanghai – Pudong (PVG)
- Paris – Shanghai Flight AF 116 CDG 23:20 – PVG 17:45+1 daily flights.
- Shanghai – Paris Flight AF 111 PVG 21:45 – CDG 05:50+1 daily flights.
Hong Kong (HKG)
- Paris – Hong Kong Flight AF 188 CDG 23:20 – HKG 17:30+1 daily flights.
- Hong Kong – Paris Flight AF 185 HKG 22:05 – CDG 05:45+1 daily flights.
The route to Shanghai will be operated on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft seating 369 passengers in three classes with the new cabins (48 Business Class/48 Premium Economy/273 Economy) and services to Beijing and Hong Kong will be operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft seating 279 passengers in three classes (30 Business Class/21 Premium Economy/228 Economy).
Promotional fares are available on flights to Mainland China and Hong Kong starting at EUR 470 and EUR 685 each way respectively.
Air France has been operating in China since 1966, flying to and from the country up to 32 times a week prior to the pandemic. As of July this year, the airline will offer 12,978 seats per week between France and mainland China and Hong Kong.
For flights to China, the use of face masks is mandatory for all passengers aged 6 years and older, and a negative PCR test before departure.
