Delta is expanding its holiday offerings from its major hubs in New York (JFK), Atlanta (ATL), Detroit (DTW) and Minneapolis (MSP) with new routes and increases to existing service to Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
The carrier will be increasing seat capacity for the 2023/2024 winter season by 20% compared to last year’s schedule. This growth as the airline works toward restoring its network after operating 85% of its pre-pandemic capacity in 2022, with a key focus from its major U.S. hubs.
At John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK), it will increase operations to Santo Domingo (SDQ), Santiago de los Caballeros (STI) and San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU), which are the New York metropolitan area’s top Caribbean markets in terms of passengers flown according to U.S. Department of Transportation statistics.
For the year-end holiday season, Delta will be operating more than 30 daily flights to 19 destinations in Latin America from New York (JFK).

- Cancun, Mexico (CUN): increase from 2 to 3 daily flights.
- Nassau, Bahamas (NAS): increases from 1 to 2 daily flights.
- Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ): increase from 1 to 2 daily flights.
- Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (SDQ): increases from 3 to 4 daily flights.
- San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU): increase from 3 to 4 daily flights.
- Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic (STI): increases from 3 to 4 daily flights.
In addition, Delta consolidates its position as the leading airline in the Latin American market from Atlanta (ATL) and Detroit (DTW) with increased operations to popular vacation destinations.

- Aruba (AUA): increases from 1 to 2 daily flights.
- Cancun, Mexico (CUN): increases from 6 to 7 daily flights.
- Liberia/Guanacaste, Costa Rica (LIR): increase from 1 to 2 daily flights.
- San José, Costa Rica (SJO): increase from 1 to 2 daily flights.
- Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ): increase from 3 to 4 daily flights.
- San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU): increase from 4 to 5 daily flights.
- Mexico City (MEX): increases from 4 to 5 daily flights.
- Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (PVR): increase from 1 to 2 daily flights.
- Roatan, Honduras (RTB): increases from 1 weekly to daily flights.

- Cancun, Mexico (MEX): increases from 3 to 4 daily flights.
All flights will be available from December 16, 2023 through January 7, 2024.
Resumption of service to Cozumel, Mexico
Delta continues to expand its offerings in the Mexican Caribbean, the airline for the winter boreal season will have services to Cozumel (CZM) from Atlanta (ATL) with daily flights starting November 5 and Minneapolis (MSP) with three weekly flights starting December 16, all these services will be operated in Airbus A320 with capacity 157 seats in three classes (16 First Class Domestic/18 Delta Comfort+/123 Main Cabin).
