Global Crossing Airlines Group – known as GlobalX – obtained an amendment to its Foreign Air Operator Certificate (FAOC) issued by Transport Canada. This FAOC update expands the number and type of aircraft GlobalX can operate as part of its offering of flights to Canada from the U.S., including operating on behalf of existing Canadian airlines.

Ed Wegel, president and CEO of GlobalX, said he is «extremely grateful for the support provided by Transport Canada during the process of obtaining the certificate. Canada will become an increasingly important market for us and we will continue to provide additional aircraft capacity to Canadian airlines. Adding the A321 to our FAOC will allow us to offer both larger capacity and freighter aircraft to our customers and airlines in the great north.»
