Saudia expands its flight offer in the UK

Saudia continues to expand its international network with new destinations in the UK for the 2023 summer season. The airline will be the carrier with the most routes from Saudi Arabia to UK airports.

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), 642,205 passengers were mobilized in 2019 between Saudi Arabia and the UK, where Saudia was the leading airline operator in the market in terms of seats per kilometers offered (ASK).

New service in London

Saudia is expanding its London offering with a new non-stop service between Jeddah (JED) and Gatwick Airport (LGW) from June with six flights a week initially, then in August it moves to operate every day.

Flight schedule between Jeddah and Gatwick

Starts June 1.

  • Jeddah – London/Gatwick Flight SV 119 JED 09:05 – LGW 13:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • London/Gatwick – Jeddah Flight SV 120 LGW 14:55 – JED 23:05 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The route will be operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft seating 298 passengers in two classes (24 Business Class/274 Economy) and the airline will have convenient connections to destinations in Pakistan, Malaysia, India and Bangladesh via its hub in Jeddah (JED).

New UK destinations

Saudia will fly to a new city in the UK starting in July with non-stop service between Jeddah (JED) and Birmingham (BHX) with three weekly flights on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

Customers heading west from Saudi Arabia now have direct flights to Birmingham Airport, the global gateway to the West Midlands region, an economic powerhouse on a strong growth trajectory«, said Nick Barton, managing director of Birmingham Airport.

Flight schedule between Jeddah and Birmingham

Starts July 2.

  • Jeddah – Birmingham Flight SV 251 JED 08:10 – BHX 13:30 Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
  • Birmingham – Jeddah Flight SV 250 BHX 14:30 – JED 23:05 Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Saudia in the UK

Saudia currently has 18,456 weekly seats on offer between Saudi Arabia and the UK on 56 operations according to the Cirium platform. In addition to its new services, the airline operates non-stop flights from Jeddah (JED), Riyadh (RUH) and Neom Bay (NUM) to London Heathrow (LHR), and services between Jeddah (JED) and Manchester (MAN).
