The airport’s third Club adds nearly 2,000 square feet of premium space to the airline’s lounge offerings, making it the largest at the airline’s Minneapolis hub (MSP). The MSP – G is the second lounge to open this year and the third consecutive new location in the Midwest (following Chicago and Kansas City).
The MSP – G is inspired by Minnesota’s designation as the «land of 10,000 lakes» featuring a color palette with earth tones such as sage green combined with warm copper and amber tones. The new Club will accommodate more than 450 seats and will provide a new space called the «Sky Deck» available for 110 patrons, which is supported by two outdoor elements.
Additional Club communities include:
- Three kiosks for quick and easy self check-in.
- A full buffet.
- Two premium bars.
- Three soundproof booths.
«Our goal was to create a space that reflects the natural beauty of the Great Lakes region, transporting and inspiring guests through the Club’s design, while offering a full suite of amenities and our unique hospitality» said Claude Roussel, general manager of Delta Sky Club.
Delta continues to invest in airport infrastructure
The recent refurbishment at gates G18-G22, including the relocation and expansion of restrooms, extended gate lounge areas and new concessions, laid the groundwork for this new Club.
Delta is scheduled to complete future renovations by the end of 2025 that will modernize the terminal with new terrazzo floors; renovated ceilings and lighting fixtures; enhanced digital signage; and more. These upgrades will mirror gate improvements at Delta’s other terminals in Los Angeles (LAX), New York – LaGuardia (LGA), Salt Lake City (SLC) and Chicago O’Hare (ORD).
Delta is partnering with the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) by providing a $47 million investment to complete this project. This effort to upgrade the Minneapolis (MSP) facility joins other recent airport investments, including a $50 million upgrade at Chicago O’Hare’s Terminal 5 (ORD) and notable repairs at the Los Angeles (LAX) and New York – LaGuardia (LGA) terminals.
Delta in Minneapolis
Delta is the largest global airline in Minneapolis (MSP) and for this summer season will schedule more than 330 daily flights to 120 destinations including international service to Amsterdam (AMS), Cancun (CUN), Paris (CDG), Keflavik (KEF), London – Heathrow (LHR), Montreal (YUL), Vancouver (YVR), among others.
The Atlanta-based airline is also the only carrier to provide nonstop service between Asia and Minnesota with daily operations from Tokyo – Haneda (HND) and Seoul – Incheon (ICN).
In addition, Delta will reactivate multiple domestic routes from Minneapolis (MSP) to Albuquerque, New Mexico (ABQ); Buffalo, New York (BUF); and Richmond, Virginia (RIC) and seasonal service to and from Colorado Springs (COS), all service beginning June 5.
