Etihad Airways to have daily flights to Toronto

After the extension of the bilateral agreement between the United Arab Emirates and Canada, Etihad Airways has scheduled an increase of more than 15% in seat capacity and frequencies to Toronto – Pearson (YYZ).

«Etihad is delighted to begin flying daily between Abu Dhabi and Toronto, which has been one of our busiest routes in 2023 as a result of the rapid recovery and continued growth in travel demand between the UAE and Canada», said Arik De, Chief Revenue Officer at Etihad Airways.

Effective May 30, Etihad is adding an additional flight on the Abu Dhabi (AUH) – Toronto/Pearson (YYZ) route, complementing its current schedule of six weekly flights, the airline will offer customers a daily connection on this service. The new operation will be operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with 290 seats in two classes (28 Business Class/262 Economy).

The airline is scheduled to offer 4,380 seats per week on this route.

  • Abu Dhabi – Toronto Flight EY 141 AUH 08:55 – YYZ 14:55 daily flights.
  • Toronto – Abu Dhabi Flight EY 140 YYZ 21:40 – AUH 18:25+1 daily flights.
Route details
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday flights are operated by Boeing 787-9.
  • Thursday and Saturday services are operated on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with 370 seats in two classes (40 Business Class/330 Economy).
  • Promotional fares are available starting at USD 777 each way.

Etihad will celebrate its 18th anniversary in Canada this year since it began flying non-stop to Toronto (YYZ) in October 2005. The airline also has an interline agreement with WestJet and a codeshare partnership with Air Canada that allows customers to connect to more than 15 destinations through Lester Pearson International Airport (YYZ).
