GlobalX takes delivery of a new Airbus A320

Global Crossing Airlines -known as GlobalX- took delivery of its seventh A320 passenger aircraft. The aircraft was leased and supplied by Airborne Capital.

The aircraft is a sibling of four other ex-Alaska Airlines A320s currently operated by GlobalX, with a configuration of 12 business class seats and 138 economy seats. In addition, the equipment has Wi-Fi installed.

«We are delighted to be working with Airborne to operate this aircraft» noted Ed Wegel, President and CEO of GlobalX. «We look forward to developing a strong relationship with them as we grow our fleet. Their support has been extremely valuable to us, and their diligent work enabled us to secure this aircraft,» the executive added.

GlobalX plans -subject to DOT and FAA approval- to take delivery of the following aircraft this year:

GlobalX currently has a fleet of 11 aircraft, all of them of the Airbus A320 family. Assuming all planned aircraft are delivered, GlobalX should end the current year operating twelve A320 series passenger aircraft and six A321 freighters.
