LATAM Brazil and Voepass announced the expansion of their codeshare agreement, which began in 2014. This comes weeks after the regional airline and GOL announced the termination of their alliance.

For LATAM, this will allow it to add 13 new destinations starting May 9 operated by Voepass Airlines with ATR 72 aircraft with capacity for up to 70 passengers.

“The expansion of our codeshare with Voepass complements our existing network, allowing more people to fly and connect domestically and internationally,” said Aline Mafra, LATAM Brazil’s Sales and Marketing Director.

LATAM’s new destinations and VoePass routes

Currently, the codeshare agreement allows LATAM to have presence in Coari (CIZ), Carauari (CAF), Parintins (PIN), Itaituba (ITB) and Parnaíba (PHB).

On the other hand, the agreement allows VoePass to connect between the airports of Belém (BEL), Fortaleza (FOR), Goiania (GYN), Jericoacoara (JJD), Juazeiro do Norte (CE), Manaus (MAO), São Paulo/Congonhas (CGH), Ribeirão Preto (RAO), Rio de Janeiro/Santos Dumont (SDU) and Teresina (THE).

For VoePass, it means adding Aracati, Feira de Santana, Pelotas and Santo Ângelo through code-sharing.

“We are very pleased to expand our codeshare agreement with LATAM. To be able to continue our history opening and connecting cities in the interior of our country” said Major Felicio, CEO of VOEPASS.

“We need a solid, robust regional aviation, with scale gains, commercial and operational simplicity”, he added.

They will also continue to boost their flights from Congonhas airport, which serves São Paulo’s economic center.
