airBaltic, Latvia’s leading airline, has made significant adjustments to its destination schedule for the upcoming boreal winter season. This move responds to the current needs of its customers. As a result, Riga will continue its routes to Catania, Valencia, Porto, and Malta beyond the summer season.
An official statement revealed that the company will extend its air services to Catania until November 2023, intending to resume them in March 2024. On the other hand, routes to Valencia, Porto, and Malta will conclude in November of this year.
This year, airBaltic has witnessed significant growth for the summer season, adding twenty new routes from its strategic bases in Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, and Tampere. The new routes cover various destinations such as Hannover, Istanbul, Bilbao, Porto, Tivat, Burgas, Baku, Belgrade, and Yerevan.

Additionally, the airline has expanded its winter itinerary, introducing a new destination in Morocco. Agadir joins Marrakech, launched in 2022.
Both Moroccan destinations are managed from the main base in Riga and represent the only airBaltic routes to Africa. These routes will be available during the Northern Hemisphere’s winter season, from October to March.
Agadir will commence operations on November 4 and cease on March 30, offering a weekly flight on Saturdays. Marrakech will have a similar schedule to Agadir, but it will offer two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
In addition, airBaltic has announced its intention to operate flights to Tenerife/South, Spain, from its four main bases, including returns from Riga, and with Tallinn, Vilnius, and Tampere as new routes.
These routes will be available from October to March, with two weekly flights from Vilnius, Tallinn, and Tampere, and six weekly flights from Riga.
