Misil Hellfire II
Lockheed Martin’s AGM114R HELLFIRE II Model R multirole missile, or «Romeo» missile, features a multipurpose warhead that allows a single HELLFIRE missile to cover all targets of currently available laser-guided variants.
It is equipped with an inertial navigation unit to approach the approximate target area and a laser terminal guidance system to accurately hit the target.
Poland will equip its 32 AW149 multirole helicopters (to be manufactured locally by Leonardo/ PZL-Świdnik) and its future 96 Boeing AH-64E Apache Guardian attack helicopters with this powerful air-to-ground armament.
