WestJet from Calgary
On June 2, WestJet initiated a nonstop connection between Calgary and Washington D.C., complementing the new route to Detroit and the resumption of several U.S. services. The airline is expanding its cross-border capacity in Calgary compared to the 2022 summer season, providing a network of 20 direct U.S. destinations.

WestJet flight schedule to Washington – Dulles
- Calgary – Washington Flight WS 1618 YYC 13:30 – IAD 17:47 Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- Washington – Calgary Flight WS 1619 IAD 18:40 – YYC 21:27 Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
The route is operated using Boeing 737-700 and 737-800 aircraft with 132 and 174 seats, respectively. Promotional fares for round trips start at USD 434. In this segment, WestJet faces competition from United Airlines, which offers a daily flight operated by an Airbus A319.
Air Canada from Vancouver
On June 1, Air Canada introduced an unprecedented non-stop service between Vancouver and Washington D.C. as part of the Canadian flag carrier’s expansion with partner United Airlines.
This new service will generate an additional $1.2 million in taxes and contribute $5.7 million to GDP.

- Vancouver – Washington Flight AC 1036 YVR 08:15 – IAD 16:16 < em>Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
- Washington – Vancouver Flight AC 1037 IAD 17:10 – YVR 20:01 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
The route is operated using Boeing 737-8 aircraft with 169 seats in two classes (16 Business Class/153 Economy). Promotional fares are available starting at USD 420 for round trips.
Air Canada is the sole airline offering non-stop flights between Vancouver (YVR) and Dulles International Airport (IAD). Additionally, the airline provides service to Washington from Toronto – Pearson and Montreal.
