Air France inaugurates non-stop flights to Ottawa

On June 27, Air France expanded its network in Canada with the launch of non-stop flights between Paris and Ottawa. The French airline is the only airline to offer transatlantic services to the Canadian capital.

Flight AF 328 was operated in an Airbus A330 registered as F-GZCO, which took off from Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) at 13:44 local time and landed at Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW) at 15:05, after seven hours and 22 minutes.

This new route is the airline’s fifth destination in Canada, after Montreal (since 1950), Toronto (1976), Vancouver (2015) and Quebec City (2022). This service will help support the Canadian capital’s economic and diplomatic activities, as well as tourism in the region, while connecting Ottawa to a global network in Paris that covers nearly 200 destinations on every continent.

Mark Laroche, President and CEO of the Ottawa International Airport Authority, commented: «The new route links not only French citizens through the Paris hub, but also a wide range of travelers from across Europe, Asia and Africa, who will fall in love with Ottawa’s beauty, safety and cleanliness. It’s a great day for Ottawa as Air France will play an important role in rebuilding and growing our region’s international travel markets.»
