Cayman Airways resumed its flights to Panama City

On June 26, Cayman Airways resumed its non-stop flights between Grand Cayman and Panama City, thus boosting connectivity from Tocumen Airport to the Caribbean. The company’s last operation on this route was on July 6, 2015 in a service performed in Boeing 737-300.

Flight KX 852 was operated on a Boeing 737 MAX registered as VP-CIW and aged 4.6 years. The aircraft departed Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM) at 12:05 local time and arrived at Tocumen International Airport (PTY) at 13:53, after one hour and 48 minutes.

  • Grand Cayman – Panama/Tocumen Flight KX 852 GCM 11:30 – PTY 13:30 Monday and Thursday.
  • Panama/Tocumen – Grand Cayman Flight KX 853 PTY 15:00 – GCM 17:00 Monday and Thursday.

The route is operated by Boeing 737-8 aircraft with a capacity of 160 passengers in two classes (16 Business Class/144 Economy) and promotional fares are available from USD 490 round trip.

The company’s network from Grand Cayman has non-stop service to Cayman Brac, Denver, Havana, New York JFK, Kingston, Los Angeles, La Ceiba, Little Cayman, Montego Bay, Miami, Tampa and now Panama.
