Delta and Israeli EL AL announce strategic partnership

Delta Air Lines and EL AL Airlines have signed an agreement for a strategic partnership to offer enhanced benefits and travel options between the United States and Israel. The airlines will begin a reciprocal codeshare agreement and customer benefits in frequent flyer programs, including the option to redeem and accrue miles between the two carriers.

Initially, customers connecting on Delta or EL AL flights will be able to travel on a single ticket and baggage check through to their destination. The U.S. airline provides up to 200 connections from Tel Aviv via its major transatlantic hubs in Atlanta, Boston and New York JFK.

In addition, EL AL will offer additional services from Tel Aviv to Boston and New York JFK, complementing its other U.S. destinations. Both carriers will soon add their respective codes on flights operated by the other.

Delta Air Lines Schedule to Tel Aviv

  • Atlanta: daily flights on Airbus A350-900.
  • Boston: three weekly flights on Airbus A330-900neo.
  • New York JFK: daily flights on Airbus A330-900neo.

EL AL schedule to the United States

  • Boston: three flights a week on Boeing 787-8.
  • Newark: 11 weekly flights on Boeing 787-9/-8.
  • New York JFK: 16 weekly flights on Boeing 787-9/-8.
  • Los Angeles: six flights a week on Boeing 787-9.
  • Miami: six weekly flights on Boeing 787-8/-9.
