F-AIR Colombia 2023 is positioned as a key event for closing deals and learning about the latest technological innovations in the aerospace industry worldwide.
From July 12 to 16, in Rionegro, Antioquia, the most recent advances in the manufacturing, programming, and operation of Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) and drones, both for military and civil use, will be presented. Notable examples include the «Quimbaya» and the «Coelum». The former is designed to monitor and observe the country’s strategic assets, such as energy infrastructures and critical facilities; the latter is used for civil and military intelligence missions, recognition, identification, and surveillance of targets in hard-to-reach terrain.
These RPAs have been developed by the CIAC, the Colombian Aerospace Industry Corporation. In addition, recognized international companies from the aerospace sector such as SAAB, Embraer, Lockheed Martin, Elbit Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries, Airbus, MBDA Systems, ENAER, Columbia Helicopters, among others, will also be present at the event.
The region’s most important Aeronautical Fair will feature the prominent participation of the Civil Aeronautics and the Colombian Air Force (FAC), which will lead the «F-Drone» event, where the main national and international players in the unmanned aircraft industry will gather. South Korea will also participate in this specialized trade exhibition, and an academic agenda and a demonstration zone will be held.
Parallel to the development of the Fair, the FAC will lead the LXIII version of the Conference of the Chiefs of the American Air Forces (CONJEFAMER), which will gather representatives from 23 countries in Colombia within the framework of the Cooperation System among the American Air Forces (SICOFAA). These top representatives from institutions of the hemisphere will visit the F-AIR to learn about the offer of aeronautical products and services from the exhibitors.
