At the Paris Air Show, De Havilland Canada extended and signed contracts for the provision of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services with three European airlines as part of its Component Solutions Programme (DCS).
Its main objective is to support Dash 8-400 aircraft operations and provide their customers with cost-effective repair solutions, as well as access to components and spare parts from the manufacturer’s various distribution centres or from the home bases of some of its customers. Currently, more than 150 aircraft of this type are enrolled in the programme.

De Havilland Canada extends current contract with Luxair
The manufacturer has finalised the extension of its current contract to provide maintenance services for Luxair’s Dash 8-400s until 2028. The Luxembourg-based company will continue to access comprehensive services including access to components and spare parts exchange.
«We are delighted to further strengthen our relationship with Luxair with this five-year extension to the agreement», said Leighton Storsley, VP of Aftermarket and Business Development at De Havilland Canada. He also noted that the programme «is designed to allow operators to focus on other key business activities» while the company takes over the management component management requirements.
Christoph Blaha, Luxair’s VP of Technical Services, valued the joint relationship the two companies have had since 2012: «Since then, Luxair has benefitted from the ready availability of spare parts that the programme provides in order to support our fleet of eleven aircraft», he commented.
Widerøe contract extension
De Havilland also signed a contract extension with Norwegian carrier Widerøe. The agreement, which was scheduled to end in 2025, will be extended until 2027.
«Our extended agreement with Widerøe was tailored to provide the airline with an enhanced, customized package for component support», Storsley said.
Sture Pedersen, Widerøe’s VP of Technical Operations, valued the relationship the two companies have had since 2018, which has enabled access to spare parts essential to the operation of their business. «So we are delighted to now extend our agreement to 2027, as our fleet continues to grow», he remarked.
New agreement with Croatia Airlines
In addition to renewing existing agreements with some of its customers, De Havilland signed a new contract for the provision of maintenance, repair and overhaul services with Croatia Airlines.
«We are delighted to welcome Croatia Airlines to our De Havilland Component Solutions Programme and we look forward to supporting the airline’s operation well into the future», Storsley stated.
«The DCS Program offers the cost predictability that is so important in airline management», noted Jasmin Bajić, President and CEO of Croatia Airlines. «We look forward to benefitting from access to De Havilland Canada’s expertise in warranty administration, planning and supplier management to enhance the operations of our Dash 8-400 aircraft», he concluded.
