Airbus Helicopters has received the go-ahead signal from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for their H175 helicopter, marking a significant achievement in the aviation industry and their partnership with the Chinese market.
This certification opens the gate for Airbus to begin deliveries of the H175, one of their most innovative models, to China — a market known for its stringent requirements and growing demand for civil helicopters in the super-medium segment.
Four H175 helicopters are poised to be delivered to Chinese clients in 2023, marking a tangible expansion into one of the most competitive aviation landscapes worldwide.
Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters, expressed his enthusiasm about this development. «The Chinese certification of the H175 is another great achievement in the continued successful partnership between Airbus Helicopters and the Chinese helicopter industry,» he said.
Even extolled the virtues of the model, highlighting its advanced technological capabilities and reliability. «The H175’s state-of-the-art performances and reliability will serve to provide the people of China with the ability to perform critical life-saving missions even in the most severe conditions,” he added.
The H175 helicopter, part of the super-medium class and in service since 2015, blends long-range capabilities with an advanced quality of flight. It has proven to be an optimal solution for a broad range of missions, including offshore crew change, search and rescue (SAR), public services, and private and business aviation. The 53 H175s in operation across 13 countries have collectively amassed over 185,000 flight hours, underscoring the model’s durability and dependability.
To nourish the helicopter market in China, Airbus Helicopters has expressed commitment to collaborate with the Chinese industry. Their intention is to fortify the Chinese civil market with products such as the H175, aiming to fulfill the interests of the Chinese people and bolster the economy.
