For this winter season, American Airlines will add more than 25 daily departures from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and will also launch new service from the Valley of the Sun to Jacksonville, the airline’s fourth destination to the state of Florida.
Latin America and Caribbean Destinations Get a Boost with American Airlines Major Winter Schedule
«While we are not yet halfway through the summer travel season, we are already focusing on how we can better serve our customers this winter. Thanks to additional flight offerings, we will provide additional seat capacity that will allow us to welcome more customers to Phoenix than last winter«, said Sophia Philis-Ortiz, PHX Hub’s vice president of operations.
In January of this year, the carrier launched a new connection to Monterrey bringing the number of destinations it serves to Mexico from Phoenix to eleven. In addition, American will reactivate nonstop service for the first time in more than three years to Wichita.
The airline will operate more than 12% additional daily flights compared to last year’s winter and supply nearly 4% more seats, providing even more opportunities for customers for business and leisure travel.
«American is an essential business partner and we couldn’t be more pleased with their continued growth and investment in Phoenix. We are also excited to see American launch nonstop service to Jacksonville, Florida, a brand new market for us«, said City of Phoenix Aviation Department Director of Aviation Services Chad Makovsky.
