Arajet New Flight Links Canada to Seven Key South American and Caribbean Cities

After announcing last week the launch of Toronto as its first destination in Canada, Arajet confirmed today that this new route will allow connections to seven destinations in its South American and Caribbean network through its hub at Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo.

In this way, passengers flying to and from Cartagena, Medellín, Aruba, Curaçao, St. Maarten, Kingston, and Sao Paulo will be able to connect with Toronto, benefiting from connection times averaging between one and two hours.

Arajet will inaugurate its flights in Toronto on October 24th, operating 4 weekly frequencies from and to Santo Domingo, with fares starting at USD 104 per leg.

«Canadians will be able to take advantage of the privileged location of our low-cost connection hub in the Dominican Republic to connect with dream destinations in the Caribbean all year round,» said Víctor Pacheco Méndez, CEO and founder of Arajet.

«The Arajet effect will allow more tourists to visit our countries and strengthen their economic development, create more jobs and opportunities for more people throughout the region,» he continued.

Arajet’s second expansion

Arajet continues to obtain permissions as it plots its short-term expansion plan. In recent weeks, Arajet CEO, Victor Pacheco, has repeatedly expressed his intention to expand to the United States, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay.

In early June, he announced his arrival in São Paulo (GRU), Brazil, starting September 21, while also landing in Asunción, Paraguay, starting November.

Currently, its destination network includes flights to Aruba (AUA); Barranquilla (BAQ), Bogotá (BOG) and Cartagena (CTG), Colombia; San José (SJO), Costa Rica; Curaçao (CUR); Quito (UIO) and Guayaquil (GYE), Ecuador; San Salvador (SAL), El Salvador; Guatemala City (GUA); Kingston (KIN), Jamaica; Cancún (CUN) and Mexico City (MEX), Mexico; Lima (LIM), Peru; and St. Maarten (SXM).

The company already offers 74 connections through Santo Domingo, advancing in its goal of transforming Las Americas Airport into a new North-South connection hub for America.
