Avianca in partnership with the Salvadoran authorities continues to expand connectivity in the region with a new non-stop service between San Salvador and Las Vegas. With the launch of this route, the airline now serves 11 destinations in the United States.
Flight AV 526 was operated on Airbus A320 registered as N766AV and is 5.4 years old. The aircraft departed Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez Airport (SAL) at 09:09 local time and arrived at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) at 12:47, after four hours and 38 minutes.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by David Alemán, Avianca’s Sales Director; Federico Anliker López, President of the Autonomous Port Executive Commission (CEPA); Morena Valdéz, Minister of Tourism of El Salvador; Gerardo Peréz, El Salvador’s Director of Diaspora and Development, and local press.
The new San Salvador – Las Vegas air connection will provide more than 4,000 weekly seats and is the fifth route inaugurated by the company this year in the Salvadoran market, complementing services to Boston, Cancun, Madrid and Orlando. Avianca is also the second airline to offer non-stop flights between Central America and Harry Reid Airport.

The service will be operated in Airbus A320neo aircraft with a capacity of 180 passengers and differentiated Premium, Plus and Economy seating. Promotional fares are available starting at USD 311 per round trip.
According to the Minister of Tourism, El Salvador received more than 100,000 tourists from the United States in June, a record number. This new connection strengthens the region as an important hub for connections, facilitating the fluid transit of passengers between different international destinations and boosting tourism, connectivity and economic growth in El Salvador.
Avianca’s Director of Sales stated that Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez Airport is currently the company’s second most important hub, with 24 direct routes departing from El Salvador to Central America, South America, Mexico, the United States, Canada and Spain.
Avianca’s North American network has non-stop service to Dallas/Fort Worth, Washington – Dulles, Houston – Intercontinental, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Ontario, San Francisco, Boston, Orlando and Las Vegas in the United States; Toronto – Pearson in Canada; Mexico City and Cancun in Mexico. In total, the airline will have a capacity of 47,256 seats between El Salvador and North America.
