Delta Air Lines appoints Soledad Lago Rodriguez as Director of Communications for the Americas

Delta Air Lines has appointed Soledad Lago Rodriguez as director of Communications for the Americas, based in Santiago, Chile. In her role she will focus on increasing brand awareness, trust and customer loyalty among travelers in Latin America and the Caribbean, leveraging the airline’s growing network and prolific partnerships with Aeromexico and LATAM Group.

With more than 15 years of corporate communications experience in diverse fields, she has successfully managed communications campaigns at world-renowned companies such as Microsoft, Uber, Hopper and Google. Her expertise spans traditional and digital communications, as well as crisis management and executive and internal communications.

Lago Rodriguez holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires and a postgraduate degree in digital marketing and e-commerce from the Universidad Adolfo Ibañez in Chile. She is Argentinean and currently resides in Santiago, Chile.

As of September 2022, Delta and LATAM have expanded operations in South America by increasing seat capacity on multiple services and the addition of new routes. In addition, Delta and Aeromexico’s joint venture is the largest cross-border alliance and offer the largest seat capacity between the U.S. and Mexico.

Recently, Delta announced its expanded winter schedule to vacation destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean, significantly increasing service to Costa Rica, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, among others.
