Jetstar Boosts International Flights with New Partnership with Brisbane Airport

Following the signing of a landmark new agreement with Brisbane Airport, Jetstar will provide more than 500,000 seats at low fares between Brisbane and international destinations, bringing thousands of tourists to southeast Queensland each year.

The Qantas Group’s low-cost airline will launch new non-stop flights from Brisbane to Japan and South Korea as a result of the new agreement, which provides airport services that complement Jetstar’s low-cost operating model. In addition, existing services to Bali and Auckland from the Queensland capital will be increased.

Japan

  • From October 31, 2023, a Brisbane – Tokyo – Narita service commences with five weekly flights, which will become daily from December 3, 2023.
  • From February 2, 2024, it will commence a service between Brisbane and Osaka – Kansai with four weekly flights.
  • More than 380,000 seats per year between Brisbane and Japan.

South Korea

  • From February 1, 2024, a service between Brisbane and Seoul – Incheon will commence.
  • More than 100,000 seats per year between Brisbane and the South Korean capital.

Bali, Indonesia

  • As of February 1, 2023, the Brisbane – Bali route will increase from 7 to 10 weekly flights.
  • The increase in services is due to the introduction of the Airbus A321LR.

New Zealand

  • For the austral summer season, service on the Brisbane – Auckland route will increase from 4 to 7 flights per week.
  • 90,000 seats will be added per year.
  • From February 1, 2024, the Airbus A321LR will begin flying the route.

Brisbane Airport CEO Gert-Jan de Graaff, said: “This is the biggest injection of low-cost seats for Queenslanders and visitors to our most popular markets that we have ever seen. We look forward to welcoming more travelers from New Zealand, Japan and Seoul to get out and explore our region and our state“.
