Copa Airlines continues to strengthen its presence in Venezuela by increasing its operations to 42 weekly flights to five destinations. The Panamanian airline will have a new route to Barquisimeto and will increase its services to Maracaibo and Caracas.
Copa will offer 13,076 weekly seats between Venezuela and Panama for the winter season, a 25.4% increase in capacity compared to previous levels of the pandemic.
In total, Copa will schedule 24 flights per week to Caracas, daily flights to Valencia, five weekly flights to Maracaibo, three weekly flights to Barcelona and three weekly flights to Barquisimeto.

New Service to Barquisimeto
Copa’s new service to Barquisimeto will increase air connectivity in central-western Venezuela and is expected to mobilize 20,000 passengers in its first year of operation. Barquisimeto will become the company’s fifth destination in the region and will allow passengers to connect with the airline’s extensive network through the “Hub of the Americas”.
“We are very pleased that we are opening a new destination in one of the most important cities in the country. A city with significant tourism potential, excellent gastronomic offerings and economic contribution to the region,” said Roberto Pulido, general manager of Copa Airlines in Venezuela.
