Embraer Reports 47% Increase in Aircraft Deliveries for Q2 2023

Embraer announced that during the second quarter of 2023, a total of 47 aircraft were delivered, of which 17 were from the commercial aviation unit and 30 from the executive aviation segment. The total figure is 47% higher than that of the same period in 2022.

In this way, the first half of the year concluded with 24 commercial aircraft and 38 executive aircraft delivered, 35% more than between January and June of the previous year.

12 of the delivered aircraft were E175, and 12 were E195-E2, the second generation of the E-Jets family.

Among business aircraft, the Phenom 300 was the most delivered during the first half of the year, with a total of 22 units.

In the second quarter, Embraer closed the following orders:

  • Seven E175 for Envoy Air, a regional subsidiary of American Airlines with deliveries starting from the fourth quarter of 2023.
  • Six E195-E2 for the Spanish airline Binter.
  • Ten E195-E2 for the Malaysian airline SKS Airways.
  • Nine E190-E2 for Scoot, a low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines.
  • Eight E190-E2 and E195-E2 for Royal Jordanian Airlines, with deliveries starting from the fourth quarter of 2023.

In this way, the Brazilian manufacturer’s backlog of orders reaches 271 aircraft, of which 82 are E175, 16 E190-E2 and 173 E195-E2.

The executive segment received a historic boost with the signing of an agreement between Embraer and NetJets for the purchase of up to 250 Praetor 500 valued at more than USD 5 billion and deliveries starting from 2025.

Embraer Defense & Security sealed a Memorandum of Understanding with Saab to position the C-390 Millenium as the preferred option for the tactical air transport requirements of the Swedish Air Force and to seek opportunities for potential Gripen customers in Latin America.
