Emirates has expanded its codeshare partnership with Air Canada to include flights to and from Montreal, following the launch of services to Quebec’s largest city in July this year. Customers of the Gulf carrier will be able to access 11 more popular Canadian destinations beyond Montreal and destinations in Emirates’ extensive network, using the services of both carriers on a single airline ticket.
The network of Canadian destinations included in the codeshare partnership between Emirates and Air Canada has now expanded to 11 destinations via Montreal, with an additional 69 destinations connected on an interline basis.
The codeshare partnership between Emirates and Air Canada offers customers connections across major Canadian cities to points such as Halifax, Edmonton, Ottawa and Calgary. From Toronto, the Gulf carrier’s customers can access 19 domestic destinations via codeshare, and 100 more through an interline agreement.
Customers traveling from Canadian cities can now connect to Emirates services in Montreal or Toronto to destinations in Asia, Africa and the Middle East via its hub in Dubai. Currently, Emirates flights to Toronto are operated on Airbus A380s and those to Montreal on Boeing 777-300ERs.
In addition, members of the Emirates Skywards frequent flyer program will be able to earn and redeem miles on flights on both airlines through this partnership.
