In a ceremony held at the Delivery Center of the Airbus US Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, Alabama, in which Aviacionline participated, the ultra-low-cost company JetSMART received its 26th aircraft from the A320 family.
The A320neo marks a particular milestone for the airline and Airbus, as it is the first unit assembled in the Mobile FAL for a South American client.
This new aircraft will initially be destined for the fleet in Chile, to later be the first to operate for JetSMART’s new subsidiary in Colombia, the fourth country in which the ultra low-cost will have a local operator certificate after Chile in 2017, Argentina in 2019, and Peru in 2022.
