Porter Airlines significantly expands its U.S. schedule with the launch of five new Florida destinations. Services include from Toronto – Pearson to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Miami, Orlando and Tampa; as well as from Ottawa to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. All routes start with one daily flight each way.
Florida is one of the most popular major vacation destinations for Canadian travelers during the winter, with the Toronto – Orlando segment being the most popular where 577,656 passengers were mobilized with an occupancy factor of 79% in 2022 according to the U.S. Department of Transportation. Porter will compete in this market with Air Canada, WestJet, Sunwing, Lynx Air, Flair and Canada Jetlines.
Flights to Florida will complement the airline’s existing U.S. operations including destinations to Newark/New York, Boston, Washington – Dulles and Chicago Midway. In total, the airline this winter will have 180 weekly flights and 16,686 seats per week between the U.S. and Canada.

The new services will be operated on Embraer E195-E2 aircraft with a capacity of 132 passengers. The company offers fast and free WiFi service, a selection of snacks and free beer and wine. Passengers who purchase tickets with PorterReserve fares have priority check-in, the extra legroom seats and premium pre-mixed cocktails.
