British Airways and Indigo have signed a codeshare agreement to boost connections between the UK and India. Through this partnership, the British airline adds its «BA» code to several destinations on the Indian low cost carrier’s network. Customers will have optimized connectivity between Europe and Southeast Asia from October 12, 2023.
From London-Heathrow Airport, travelers can now access eight destinations in India that were not available on the British Airways network via Delhi and Mumbai as part of the codeshare agreement.

With the new codeshare agreement, travelers can connect to their destination with a single ticket and a baggage allowance offering two checked bags of 23 kilograms per person. IndiGo operates an extensive domestic and regional network in India with one of the largest fleets of Airbus A320s.
British Airways has restored the number of flights between London-Heathrow and India prior to the COVID-19 health crisis. The British airline operates 56 weekly flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
Indian customers traveling between Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore will be able to enjoy the airline’s new Club Suite cabin product, with direct aisle access, a sliding suite door and a 1-2-1 configuration. Passengers will also soon start seeing the new British Airways uniform.

- Mumbai: three daily flights operated on Airbus A350-1000s, Boeing 777-200ERs and 787-9s
- Delhi: two daily flights operated in Airbus A350-1000 and Boeing 787-8
- Hyderabad: daily flights operated by Boeing 787-8 and 787-9
- Chennai: daily flights operated on Boeing 787-8s
In total, British Airways offers 28,896 seats per week between the United Kingdom and India.
