Vistara to fly between Frankfurt and Mumbai

Boeing 787 Dreamliner

Vistara is expanding its European offering with a new non-stop service between Mumbai and Frankfurt for the 2023-2024 winter season. This route will be the second European connection offered by the airline between Europe and Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

In February 2021, Vistara began operations in Germany with a six-flights-per-week service between Delhi and Frankfurt. The airline continues to expand connectivity between India and Europe as it takes delivery of more Boeing 787 aircraft to expand its international network.

In addition, in June this year, the airline inaugurated its first European route from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport with a non-stop connection from London-Heathrow, which is complemented by daily operations between the British capital and Mumbai.

«We are delighted to expand our international network with the launch of this new service between Mumbai and Frankfurt. Our long-haul routes, connecting Delhi with London Heathrow, Paris and Frankfurt, have been very popular with our customers, which has given us the confidence to offer similar connections from Mumbai as well,» said Vinod Kannan, CEO of Vistara.

Growth in Mumbai

In recent years, Vistara has made significant expansion in the international network in Mumbai. Currently, the airline connects Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport with Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Colombo, Dammam, Dhaka, Dubai, Jeddah, London Heathrow, Maldives, Mauritius, Muscat and Singapore.

In the last 12 months, the airline has added several new domestic and international connections from Mumbai, representing a 42% increase in the number of departures, and has almost doubled its workforce in Mumbai.
