American Airlines will offer special flights for soccer and technology fans between February and March 2024. The airline will schedule 10 special domestic services from Las Vegas and add additional flights to Barcelona for access to the 2024 Mobile World Congress.

American will operate special Airbus A321T flights with 10 Flagship First and 20 lie-flat Business Class flights to New York JFK, Boston and Los Angeles. American will also offer Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights from Miami and Philadelphia. The airline will provide more than 150 premium seats during peak demand days.
Special flight schedule to Las Vegas
- Austin: 6 additional flights from February 8, 9 and 12.
- Charlotte: 32 additional flights from February 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.
- Chicago O’Hare: 17 additional flights from February 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.
- Dallas/Fort Worth: 53 additional flights from February 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.
- Los Angeles: 20 additional flights from February 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.
- Miami: 11 additional flights from February 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.
- New York JFK: 8 additional flights from February 8, 9, 10, and 12.
- Philadelphia: 11 additional flights from February 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.
- Phoenix-Sky Harbor: 23 additional flights from February 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.
- Washington-National: 4 additional flights from February 8, 9, 10 and 12.
American Airlines will schedule more seats and additional flights to Barcelona for the Mobile World Congress. From Miami and New York, the airline will use larger aircraft and offer special service from Dallas/Fort Worth, complementing the Philadelphia operation.
Special flight schedule to Barcelona
- Dallas/Fort Worth: one daily flight on Boeing 787-9 from February 23 to March 3.
- Miami: service changes from a 234-seat Boeing 787-8 to a 273-seat Boeing 777-200ER from February 3 to March 3.
- New York: Service changes from a 273-seat Boeing 777-200ER to a 304-seat Boeing 777-300ER, with First Class available.
