KLM has unveiled its schedule for the 2023-2024 winter season: the network will include 157 destinations, 92 in Europe and 65 intercontinental. The airline will slightly reduce the supply of destinations compared to the summer due to changes in seasonal demand.
The airline will be offering more premium seats, with all Boeing 787-9 and 787-10 aircraft having the Premium Comfort cabin available. By this winter, all Boeing 777-300ERs are expected to be configured with the new World Business Class and Premim Comfort cabins. During the same period, the reconfiguration process will begin for the entire Boeing 777-200ER fleet.
Europe
KLM is adding a new route to Marseille starting October 29 with three daily flights. Service to Rovaniemi (Finland) will return for this winter with two flights a week. The connection to Rennes will be extended during the winter with one daily frequency. Seat capacity has been increased by 7% compared to the previous winter schedule.
North America
KLM’s North American schedule (Canada, United States and Mexico) this winter will have 19 cities. Service to Washington will have one daily service, three additional weekly flights than last winter. Premium Comfort Class will be available on most U.S. destinations.
KLM is increasing seat capacity to Canada by 20% compared to last year. The schedule includes 11 weekly flights to Toronto, four to Montreal, three to Edmonton, seven to Calgary and four to Vancouver.
Caribbean and Suriname
KLM will operate a daily service to Curaçao and during peak season (during the Christmas and spring vacations) the island will have 11 flights per week. The combined route between Aruba and Bonaire will have daily flights operated on Airbus A330s. Service to St. Maarten will be triangulated with Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago) and will be scheduled four times per week. The route to Paramaribo (Suriname) will operate six times weekly on Boeing 777-300ERs.
South America
KLM will offer daily flights to Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Panama. Service to San José (Costa Rica) will have four flights a week, direct or with a stopover in Liberia/Guanacaste. There will also be six flights a week to Peru and Ecuador.
Africa
KLM will offer 14 weekly frequencies to two destinations in South Africa: Johannesburg and Cape Town. Daily services to Nairobi and Accra will be operated on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The schedule to Tanzania will offer flights to Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro. The airline will operate six weekly flights to Lagos, Nigeria. In addition, Kigali (Rwanda) and Entebbe (Uganda) will also have a five-times-weekly schedule this winter.
Middle East and Asia-Pacific
- Resumes route to Taipei combined with Manila, suspending calls in Seoul and Bangkok.
- Services to Beijing and Shanghai will operate daily.
- Hong Kong will have four flights a week, one more flight compared to winter 2022.
- Flights to Tokyo/Narita will be non-stop this winter. The Osaka route will have three flights a week.
- Seoul will have six weekly flights.
- Combined service between Singapore and Bali will maintain a daily flight as in 2022.
- The combined route between Jakarta (Indonesia) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) will have five weekly flights.
- The airline will fly daily to Bangkok (Thailand).
- In India, Mumbai and Delhi will have daily flights and there will be five weekly flights to Bangalore, which means additional service compared to winter 2022.
- KLM will fly daily to Dubai in the winter.
- The route to Riyadh and Dammam will increase from five to six weekly flights.
Asia-Pacific capacity has not yet fully recovered to pre-COVID-19 pandemic levels. Intercontinental destinations to Barbados, Kuwait, Bahrain and Muscat will be suspended. Capacity released from these services will be allocated to other routes.
