Air France unveils its schedule for the 2023-2024 winter season, in which the airline will be offering new long-haul routes to expand its global network. The French carrier will have a schedule of 84 intercontinental destinations and 83 short- and medium-haul services, recovering 98% of its long-haul capacity compared to 2019.
Air France during the 2023-2024 winter season will offer 212 weekly flights to 20 destinations in North America, a 20% increase in capacity compared to pre-pandemic levels. At the end of October, Air France began non-stop services to Raleigh-Durham with three flights per week operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, the new connection to North Carolina will be the airline’s 14th destination in the United States this winter.
The French airline will extend service to Ottawa. Routes to Dallas, Boston, Vancouver and Montreal will be served with additional weekly frequencies or the scheduling of larger capacity aircraft.
Air France will expand its offer to Costa Rica by operating daily flights on Airbus A350-900s, and the Bogota route will be operated with the same aircraft, increasing the seating capacity on this route. In the Caribbean, the French carrier will start a new service from Guadeloupe to Saint-Martin with a weekly frequency.
Asia-Pacific capacity will be boosted with an increase in capacity to 60% of pre-pandemic levels. Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong will have daily flights this winter and Tokyo Haneda will be offered a second frequency. In total, 16 weekly flights to the Japanese capital will be available. In Bangkok, Air France will again fly daily to Bangkok this winter, with up to 10 flights a week during peak periods.
In the Middle East, the airline started a daily connection to Abu Dhabi operated on Airbus A350-900s and will offer two daily flights to Dubai operated on Boeing 777s. In Africa, the route to Nairobi will fly daily and Dar Es Salaam operated as a continuation of Zanzibar will be extended during the winter season.
Air France continues to add its new long-haul cabins on 12 Boeing 777-300ERs and some Airbus A350-900s. The new products will be available on routes to New York JFK, New York, Newark, Boston, Rio de Janeiro, Bangkok, Dakar, Tokyo-Haneda, Hong Kong, Seoul-Incheon, Shanghai and Johannesburg.
In the short- and medium-haul segment, the French airline will offer a variety of winter destinations such as Tromsø, Rovaniemi, Kittila and Innsbruck. The service to Kraków will be extended during the winter.
