LOT Polish Airlines has signed a lease agreement to acquire two Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft from Air Lease Corporation. These new additions will join the 12 aircraft already received from the American lessor and are expected to join the Polish airline’s fleet in mid-2024.
This agreement is part of LOT’s recent expansion of its destination network, as well as its established codeshare partnership with the American airline JetBlue. With the growing presence in the market, LOT is in search of two new aircraft to meet the increasing demand.
«We are pleased to continue expanding our long-term relationship with LOT through the lease of two more new 737-8 aircraft. ALC has played a significant strategic role in LOT’s fleet modernization program, as the largest lessor to LOT, and these 737-8s will further enhance the airline’s fleet and network capabilities with new, fuel-efficient narrow-body aircraft,» stated Steven F. Udvar-Házy, Executive Chairman of Air Lease Corporation.
