The Lufthansa Group has announced the resumption of its flights to Tel Aviv starting from January 8, 2024. The return of the group’s airlines to Israel will be implemented in phases.
The first phase of reconnecting with Israel will consist of four weekly flights from Frankfurt and three weekly flights from Munich operated by Lufthansa Airlines. Meanwhile, Swiss will have five flights from Zurich, and Austrian Airlines will have eight connections from Vienna.
For these routes, the airlines of the Lufthansa Group will operate with Airbus A320 family aircraft. The total number of connections amounts to 20 weekly flights to and from Tel Aviv, representing 30% of the regular schedule.
Tickets will be available for purchase starting from December 18, and the flight schedule will be announced on the same day. The company continues to closely monitor the security situation in Israeli territory and maintains close contact with local and international authorities.
It is worth noting that the Lufthansa Group will make adjustments to the flight schedule to Tel Aviv if security conditions change. The group’s airlines suspended their regular operations in the Israeli city on October 9, 2023.
Flights to Lebanon
The Lufthansa Group has also resumed flights to Beirut; these had been suspended due to the ongoing conflict in the region. Today, December 15, Lufthansa, Swiss, and Eurowings have resumed their flights to the capital of Lebanon.
