Lynx Air has announced two new routes for the summer of 2024: The Canadian airline will initiate flights to Boston (BOS) and San Francisco (SFO) from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

The connection between Toronto and Boston will commence on March 28, 2024, while the flight to San Francisco will start on May 3 of the same year. With these new routes, Lynx Air will offer more than 10,000 seats for the upcoming summer.

Vijay Bathija, Commercial Director of Lynx, emphasizes that “adding Boston and San Francisco to our constantly expanding network is a significant milestone for our airline. We are proud to provide an ultra-affordable link to connect the Toronto area market with both the east and west coasts of the United States.”

“Our strategy involves flying to destinations where airfares have historically been high, and low-cost options are limited. By offering lower fares, we aim to encourage more Canadians to travel and explore their favorite places and visit their loved ones,” added Bathija.

The Toronto-Boston route will start with four weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. From April 22, 2024, the service will increase to six weekly flights, including flights on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Ed Freni, Interim CEO and Aviation Director of Massport, comments: “We are delighted to welcome Lynx to Boston. This new route to Toronto will offer our passengers more options for both business and leisure travel to Canada.”

Regarding the connection between Toronto and San Francisco, the route will start with four weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Starting from June 11, Lynx Air will operate a daily flight on this route.

“This new service provides travelers from the San Francisco Bay Area with a new and exciting way to visit Canada with exceptional value,” said the Director of San Francisco International Airport, Ivar C. Satero. “We look forward to sharing our world-class airport experience with Lynx customers, and we are confident that this new service will be a success.”

These new routes will be operated with Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft with a capacity of 189 passengers. Lynx Air also recently announced the addition of new routes within Canada for the summer of 2024: Ottawa (YOW) and Vancouver (YVR) and Halifax (YHZ) and St. John’s (YYT).
