Avelo Airlines concluded 2023 having transported 2.3 million passengers in 17,000 operations. Since its inaugural flight in April 2021, the low-cost airline has transported a total of 4 million travelers.

In addition to this milestone, Avelo achieved a notable improvement in its flight cancellation rates. In 2023, only 0.18% of flights were canceled, a significant reduction compared to 0.85% in 2022.

Further highlighting its operational efficiency, 82.8% of all Avelo flights in 2023 arrived at their destinations within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival time, as measured by the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) A14 standard. This places Avelo as the second-best performing American airline, a notable improvement from its fourth position in 2022.

Andrew Levy, founder, president, and CEO of Avelo Airlines, expressed optimism about the airline’s future and stated: «Avelo is entering 2024 in a positive position due to the significant opportunities we have ahead. Our commitment to operational excellence paid off in 2023, exemplified by Avelo’s substantial improvements in flight reliability. 2023 was our best and busiest year so far, and 2024 promises to be even more so.»
