Italy: Easyjet adds an eight aircraft in its Naples base

Easyjet continues to expand its network in Italy by strengthening its capacity with the addition of an eighth aircraft in Naples. The addition of the Airbus A320neo allows it to increase frequencies on existing routes, add new destinations, and recruit an additional 30 crew members.

Scheduling for the 2024 summer season plans to sell 160,000 seats to 7 domestic and 40 international. Frequencies will also be increased on routes to Santorini, Kos, Menorca, Malta, Sharm El Sheikh, Olbia, Catania, Athens, Barcelona, London Gatwick, Manchester and Nice.

In 2023, the low-cost airline began services to Gran Canaria (Spain), Munich (Germany), Hurghada (Egypt), Nantes (France) and Rovaniemi (Finland) and expects to add new ones to Nantes (France) and the Greek islands of Preveza and Zakynthos.

Naples has always played a key role in our strategy in Italy. Since 2000 – the year we first landed in this beautiful city – we have continued to refine our offering to be the airline most loved by Neapolitans who love to travel, for pleasure or business. This summer, therefore, our fleet will increase to eight A320 family aircraft, including two Airbus A320-Neo” said Lorenzo Lagorio, Director of easyJet Italy.
