Etihad Airways celebrates New Year with two new routes to India

Etihad Airways expands its India offering to 10 destinations, new daily services to Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram launched on New Year’s Day. The airline continues its plans to expand its global network and provide multiple connections through its Abu Dhabi hub.

These new services offer greater connectivity to the Indian region of Kerala, boosting tourism and economic activity. In 2023, it will resume non-stop connections to Kolkata, a key destination connecting eastern India and global destinations. It will also be strengthening routes to Delhi and Mumbai, operating both with four daily flights.

Etihad’s expansion in 2024 continues with the introduction of flights to Boston from 31 March, Nairobi from 1 May and the summer schedule includes services to Nice, Mykonos and Santorini.

They also have the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic stopover in Abu Dhabi as an integral part of their journey,» said Antonoaldo Neves, Etihad CEO.

Flight EY 248 departs Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 14:40 and lands in Kozhikode (CCJ) at 19:55. The return EY 249 departs CCJ at 21:30 and arrives at 00:05 the following day. All at local times.

Flight EY 292 departs Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 02:55 and arrives at Thiruvananthapuram (TRV) at 08:45. The return EY 293 takes off from TRV at 09:50 and lands at AUH at 12:30. All in local time.

During the winter season, Etihad offers 114 weekly flights and 24,295 weekly seats to India. In addition to the new services, the airline also has services to Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Calcutta, Kochi, Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai.
