Aruba Airport and the Aruba Tourism Authority announce the increase of LATAM Airlines flights between Lima and Aruba. This enhancement boosts connectivity between the two destinations and serves the growing travel to and from Aruba.
Starting in the second half of 2024, specifically in July, LATAM Airlines will increase its Lima – Aruba service from 3 to 4 weekly flights, with an additional flight on Mondays, complementing the current schedule. The increase in services aims to provide passengers with more flexibility and options when planning their trips, not only from Peru, but also from other destinations served by LATAM such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.
The current distribution of operations to Lima shows that Peru has the largest market share with 40% followed by Chile with 30%, Argentina with 25% and Brazil with 5%.
«We are delighted to witness the commitment of LATAM Airlines’ increased frequency of LIM-AUA service. As a primary objective of our airport, we are dedicated to maintaining strategic connections and ensuring the long-term sustainability of this route. This underscores AUA’s commitment to consolidate our position as one of the best connected Caribbean islands,» said Jo-Anne Meaux-Arends, Aviation Business Development Executive.
The Aruba Tourism Authority remains committed to optimizing connectivity and consolidating Aruba as a preferred destination. Seeking greater presence in the Southern Cone, marketing actions will be executed in high value segments in key connecting cities such as Santiago, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo.
