Emirates resumes Airbus A380 operation in Vienna

On February 21, Emirates resumed operation of the Airbus A380 in Vienna after a four-year hiatus, carrying more than 400 passengers. The airline is currently the only airline serving Austria with the superjumbo. Emirates’ first A380 to land in the Austrian capital was in 2014 to mark the airline’s 10th anniversary in Austria and it was introduced to the regular schedule in 2016.

The A380 registered A6-EEY performed flight EK 127, which took off from Dubai International Airport at 09:32 local time and landed at Vienna Airport at 12:10, after five hours and 38 minutes.

Emirates offers connections to popular destinations to Bangkok, Denpasar, Mauritius and Sydney, the A380 operating out of Vienna has 14 First Class seats, 76 in Business Class, and 429 in Economy, for a total of 519 seats. This adds 20% more capacity on flights between Dubai and Vienna.
