Copa Airlines is expanding its U.S. network with new nonstop service between Panama City and Raleigh-Durham. This route will provide North Carolina’s «Research Triangle» with greater connectivity to South America, Central America and the Caribbean, and Copa will be the 18th carrier to offer flights to Raleigh-Durham.
Panama City-Tocumen will be the Raleigh-Durham airport’s 10th international destination, joining London-Heathrow, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Frankfurt, Toronto-Pearson, Montreal, Reykjavik, Cancun, Freeport and Mexico City.
«We are proud to welcome Copa Airlines to RDU as we help connect the Triangle’s diverse region to popular destinations around the world. «We remain steadfast in our purpose to shorten distances and facilitate connections, allowing Panama to expand its role as the bridge that connects millions of people throughout the Americas, while contributing to the economic development of the communities where we operate. The introduction of the new Raleigh-Durham route not only promotes cultural exchanges within the Americas, but also fosters and deepens tourism and business ties between Latin America and the Research Triangle area,» said Dennis Cary, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Copa Airlines.
