Brussels airport will have a schedule of 178 destinations this summer

Brussels Airport will offer 64 airlines and a network of 178 direct destinations for the summer season. The Belgian airport will add nine new destinations to its network: Singapore, Shanghai (China), Nairobi (Kenya), and Bergen (Norway). Krakow (Poland), Bari (Italy), Bacău (Romania), Gazipaşa (Turkey) and Brive (France). Passengers will have various business, leisure, and VFR (friends and family visiting) destinations.

New airlines and routes

Singapore Airlines will commence flights to the Belgian capital this summer on April 6, with four weekly flights operated on Airbus A350-900s. In addition, connectivity with China will be further strengthened, with Hainan Airlines and Juneyao Airlines starting flights to Shanghai.

New airlines will also reinforce the Brussels Airport network: Cyprus Airways (Larnaca), Wideroe (Bergen), Amelia (Brive) and Wizz Air (Budapest). Brussels Airlines will provide two new destinations: Nairobi (Kenya) and Krakow (Poland). This summer, the airline will fly to 88 destinations, including 18 in sub-Saharan Africa and two in North America. The Belgian airline will add a tenth Airbus A330-300 and three Airbus A320neo aircraft to its fleet. Transavia will base a third Boeing 737-800 at Brussels airport this summer.

United schedules a second daily flight to Newark, operated by Boeing 757, which operates up to four daily flights from the United States. Air Canada will offer four weekly flights to Toronto, and Air Transat will offer four weekly flights to Montreal. Air Arabia expands its offering in Morocco, adding two new destinations, Tetouan and Rabat, and bringing the total number of destinations in Morocco to seven.

Intercontinental offer

  • Six destinations in North America (New York, Newark, Chicago, Washington, Montreal, and Toronto) operated by Brussels Airlines, Air Canada, Air Transat, Delta Air Lines, and United.
    Four destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean with TUI fly (Punta Cana, Cancun, Montego Bay, and Curaçao).
  • Eighteen destinations in Africa are operated by Brussels Airlines. In addition, Ethiopian Airlines provides flights to Addis Ababa, and Rwandair flies to Kigali (as does Brussels Airlines).
  • Four destinations in the Gulf region: Abu Dhabi with Etihad, Doha with Qatar Airways, Dubai with Emirates, and Jeddah with Flynas.
  • Five destinations in Asia: Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen with Hainan Airlines, Shanghai will also be served by Juneyao, Tokyo Narita with All Nippon Airways and Singapore with Singapore Airlines.
