JetBlue begins flights to Dublin

JetBlue continues to expand its offering in the transatlantic market with nonstop flights to Dublin from New York JFK, and Boston. The Irish capital is the carrier’s fifth destination, the airline offers service to London’s two major airports (Heathrow and Gatwick), Paris Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam.

The first flight, B6 353, was operated on an Airbus A321LR registered as N2151J. After six hours and two minutes, the aircraft took off from Logan International Airport at 21:17 and landed at Dublin Airport at 07:18 the following day.

By next spring, JetBlue will add more flights to Paris and schedule seasonal service between New York JFK and Edinburgh, further expanding its European route network.

JetBlue’s entry into Dublin is poised to usher in a new era of low fares and great service between Ireland and the Northeast. We look forward to introducing our award-winning Mint service and our core service to business and leisure customers traveling to and from Dublin just in time for St. Patrick’s Day and the summer vacation season,” said Joanna Geraghty, JetBlue’s Chief Executive Officer.

Travelers from the United States account for about 20% of all foreign tourism to Ireland, and Dublin is one of the most in-demand European destinations where JetBlue does not operate. The airline provides customers traveling from Dublin with connections to other destinations in the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America via New York JFK and Boston.
