Manchester Airport strengthens its connectivity to China with non-stop flights to Shanghai with Juneyao Airlines. This route will be the first between the north of England and Shanghai.

- Shanghai – Manchester Flight HO 1661 PVG 01:55 – MAN 07:30 Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
- Manchester – Shanghai Flight HO 1662 MAN 10:40 – PVG 05:05+1 Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The route will be operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with 29 Business Class and 295 Economy seats.
This flight adds to the more than 200 destinations available from Manchester Airport, consolidating its position as a global hub in the north of the United Kingdom.Manchester is home to more than 13,500 Chinese residents, the largest Chinese community in the UK outside London.
The north of England is a popular tourist destination for the Chinese community, with millions of visitors using Manchester to explore the region each year. The new route will complement Hainan Airlines’ service to Beijing. When China’s first service to Manchester began in 2016, exports between the two regions grew by 41%.
