Singapore Airlines will ramp up its intercontinental offering by launching non-stop flights between Singapore and Brussels, bringing its European network to 14 destinations. This route will be a key link connecting Belgium with Southeast Asia and Australia. It will also mark an important milestone for Singapore Airlines, as it returns to the Belgian capital after over 20 years.
Flight SQ 304 was operated on an Airbus A350 registered as 9V-SJV. The aircraft took off from Changi International Airport at 00:10 and landed at Brussels Airport at 07:15 the following day, after 13 hours and 5 minutes.
«Brussels is an important European economic and political hub, and the launch of this service adds another historic and charming city to SIA’s list of destinations. It also offers our customers traveling from Europe an additional point to connect to Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region through our hub at Changi Airport. SIA will continue to review its network and look for opportunities to offer more options to our customers,» said Dai Hao Yu, Acting Senior Vice President, Marketing Planning at Singapore Airlines.
«Singapore Airlines is a world-class airline known for its excellent service to its passengers. As a key gateway to Asia, Singapore is an important new destination in our growing Asian network. SIA is strongly committed to passenger experience as well as sustainability and will operate flights with the long-haul version of the Airbus A350-900, one of the most energy efficient and quietest aircraft in its category,» said Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport Company.
